Draped muslin fabric on a dress form in the studio

Philosophy

Cut Close to the Body

Draping as first language

Every garment begins on a mannequin, not a page. Estera pins and drapes muslin directly against the form, letting the fabric tell her where a seam wants to fall before a single line is drawn.

Atelier

A Small Room, Slow Work

Hand-finished, always

Six seamstresses share one long table in Ljubljana's old town. Nothing leaves the studio machine-stitched at the edge — every hem and every buttonhole is closed by hand.

Collection

Quiet Volume, Autumn / Winter

Structured softness

Wool felt and raw silk are cut into shapes that hold their own architecture, then softened at the collar and cuff so the body still moves freely inside them.

Provenance

Fabric With a Family Name

Sourced, not bought

The linen comes from a weaver Estera has visited three times. The buttons are cast in a foundry that has made them the same way since 1958. Nothing in the collection is anonymous.

About

Estera Lovrec

Fashion Designer, Ljubljana

Estera trained in Antwerp and returned home to build a studio around one rule: fewer pieces, made properly. Her collections move slowly, in small runs, for people who plan to keep them.

"She designs the way tailors used to — for the body that walks in the door, not the one on the runway."

"I've worn the same coat of hers for four winters. It still looks new because it was never trendy to begin with."
